The sum of luxury, cruising comfort and quality from the Linssen shipyard can also be found in the Blue Water fleet of Dutch Yacht Rentals. This spacious ship is quite a luxury apartment on the water. But one that offers a different view every day!
The ship has been built during 2021 and launched in October. She will be delivered from the yard to our base for charters in 2022 in both our Blue Water Program and regular charters in the Delta area.
The photos below are of Blueberry and a sister ship with a different specification. No rights can therefore be derived from the photos and the equipment shown; they are intended as an impression only.

The aft cabin accommodates the master cabin and has been fitted with a freestanding double bed, which almost guarantees soothing nights with its comfortable slatted frame and 14cm thick mattress. Underneath the large bed you will find storage space in the deep drawers. Further spacious cupboards can be found all around the cabin to offer ample storage facilites. The stylish and high-quality nautical flooring enhances the luxurious feel of the cabin. A 32″ wall mounted TV, writing desk and separate dressing table complete the cabin.
En suite you will find the very spacious heads, or better, the separate toilet and shower. Here, too, the highest quality materials and fittings have been used and you will certainly feel at home.
The forward cabin is almost as spacious as the “captain’s cabin” in the stern. This main forward cabin has also been fitted with a free-standing double bed and ample storage space. With private access, one simply uses the adjoining, separate toilet. One door further down the hall you will find the separate, spacious, shower.
The guest cabin is located on the port side of the ship. It has two single beds; one of these beds can be moved so that it can also be converted into a double bed.
The aft cabin has its own fully equipped facilities, the two forward cabins share the facilities on the starboard side of the ship. Both toilets are fully electric and of course equipped with the latest accessories.
In the middle of the ship you will find the equally spacious saloon and galley. Here, too, you will want for nothing! The “ship’s chef” has a four-burner induction cooker, plenty of work and storage space, a combi oven with grill, microwave and hot air, refrigerator, dishwasher and of course a deep sink at his/her disposal.
Adjacent to the galley is a cosy ‘train seat’ where the crew can have their breakfast, play a game during the culinary “excercises” or assist the chef in the preparation of the meals.
At the rear of the saloon is the lounge with a large L-shaped sofa and an extra-large coffee table. This table is height-adjustable (fully electrical), so it can also serve as a dining table.
Together with the separate seat, you can thus also eat in the lounge.
The 49″ TV mounted in the back wall, the coffee corner with fully automatic espresso machine, the bottle cooler and additional refrigerator make the luxury equipment even more complete.

The hull of this Linssen Grand Sturdy 500 AC Variotop is built entirely according to the Linssen Yachts SPH® construction method. This not only ensures a unique sailing experience but also a high level of safety and pleasant handling when sailing on open water. Two 150hp VolvoPenta engines, the very powerful bow and stern thruster and the renowned MagnusMaster stabilisation system all ensure that you will almost never run into conditions that would prevent you to sail safely and comfortably.
Unlike the other yachts in the AC range, the Variotop is equipped with the fully self-developed system of the same name, allowing you to enjoy your trip fully “open” or “closed” at the push of a button. You choose whether you want to sail “convertible” or “closed”.
In the wheelhouse on the upper deck, both skipper and crew find a more than comfortable seat on the skipper bench and adjacent couch. And all this with a unique view of the world around you.
Within easy reach the skipper can operate all equipment (two MFD chartplotters with 16″ screens, VHF/AIS/radar, autopilot, stabilisers) and the crew will not wanting for much either. In addition to all the “nautical essentials” for a safe and comfortable voyage, the crew can enjoy the comforts of a small “wetbar” with refrigerator and sink.
Through the rear facing double doors the aft deck can be reached. Here you can enjoy the very comfortable U-shaped aft bench with lockable teak shutters and integrated deck boxes. Of course, both under sail or when moored.
The table can be lowered (electrically) and thus easily makes a spacious “lounge sofa” together with the back cushions. But of course only if you have the roof open!
As on all Linssen yachts, the aft deck of the 500 Variotop has been fitted with a luxury cockpit tent that can be opened or closed in many different configurations. All very easily and quickly, of course!
On the teak deck (all around the decks and on the superstructure) there is of course more than ample space! Via the two fixed stairs at the stern of the ship you will reach the spacious bathing platform.
This is, of course, equipped with a swimming ladder and a nice outdoor shower to rinse off the salt water after a swim.
But the bathing platform has an extra surprise: it can be hydraulically “lowered” so that you can easily take a dinghy* on board.
On the foredeck, in addition to the electric mast lowering system, you will of course find plenty of room to relax. Two additional “comfort seats” are already on board, so that you can always sit where the sun shines!
* For the Blue Water Flotillas, a dinghy is part of the special, additional equipment that is included. For regular charters, a dinghy is part of the available options (at extra cost).
When designing and outfitting this yacht, the main focus was on making longer trips on open/larger waters. The yacht feels just as at home in coastal waters and at sea, as she does on smaller inland waterways and rivers.
But above all, we have added this yacht to our fleet with our new Blue Water Flotilla programme in mind.
A Blue Water Flotilla may not be a familiar concept to everyone. In this unique programme, we set sail with specially equipped vessels to discover new destinations that most displacement motor yachts normally don’t frequent.
We are opening up a whole new area, with a concept that tries to “unburden” you as much as possible. On one of the participating ships the flotilla leader sails along and he takes care of all those things that many people experience as a hindrance.
He takes care of the planning with tides, weather, currents and everything else that has to do with safe navigation. But he also arranges things like timely arrangement of berths in the ports, interesting and fun excursions and of course technical and nautical support.
