From the “Grand Sturdy” range, the Linssen Grand Sturdy 40.0 Sedan “Sir Ernest Shackleton” is a further addition to our fleet of very young and perfectly maintained charter yachts.
The Sedan line from the Linssen shipyard is unique in the space offered and is characterised by an almost completely level floor throughout the yacht. From the galley, to the steering position (inside), to the saloon and to the outside “terrace”, everything is without steps. This makes for a very spacious feeling when aboard.
The large windows and the double doors to the terrace on the aft deck let in a lot of natural light and you quickly feel “at one” with the surroundings, even from the inside.
The large “Variodeck” is a convertible roof that can be opened when the weather is favourable, so that you feel “outside whilst inside” and the skipper can also enjoy the sun on his head.
Saloon/galley/steering position
As all yachts in our charter fleet, the Grand Sturdy 40.0 Sedan is fully and luxuriously equipped, so you won’t “want” for anything soon.
The spacious steering position is located on the port side of the boat. From the luxurious steering bench, the skipper can operate all systems and has a good overview.
The side door on the port side also provides quick access to the gangway, which makes it easier to sail with a small crew.
The fully equipped galley is located on the starboard side. A three-burner gas hob, a spacious sink and plenty of storage space make the galley a pleasant place to work.
As the helm station on the Sedan models is located inside, the entire aft deck is available for “outdoor living”. A spacious L-shaped bench seat with a fixed cockpit table makes it a real pleasure to enjoy the outdoors and the surroundings.
The entire aft cockpit can be closed with specially developed tarpaulins. This allows you to spend time in comfort even in unfavourable weather conditions and increase your living space on board.
Finally, the cockpit also offers a very large storage “garage” under the floor, where folding bikes or necessary supplies, for example, can be stored safely with easy accessibility.
